Mackenzie Moline

The Nicollet County Pork Producers (NCPP) announces their 2024 Nicollet County Pork Ambassadors.

Each year, two local young youths will serve as pork ambassadors and help promote pork and the local pork industry. This year Mackenzie Moline, the daughter of Rob and Gail Moline of St. Peter, and Shannon Soost, the daughter of Jeremy and Amy Soost of Nicollet were elected as ambassadors.

Moline is a senior at St. Peter High School with plans to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato for nutrition in the fall. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the senior class president. Soost is a graduate of Nicollet High School and attends South Dakota State University majoring in animal science with plans to be a large animal veterinarian. Soost is active in various college clubs including the SDSU Swine Club and Block and Bridle. Moline and Soost are active in the Nicollet County 4-H Program and exhibit swine at the Nicollet County Fair. They have served as president of their respective FFA chapter.

As a pork ambassador, Moline and Soost will serve as the goodwill representatives for the pork industry making appearances throughout the year promoting nutritious pork and the local industry. The pork ambassador program is funded through the Nicollet County Pork Producer organization, which works to create demand for pork products and is funded by local hog farmers.
