New Ulm Community Collage Project

Free Photoshoot for All Community Members

NEW ULM — The Downtown Action Team, a committee of the Heart of New Ulm & the New Ulm Chamber, is partnering with art photographer Josh Madson to bring his community collage project to New Ulm and will host a photoshoot at Sweet Haven Tonics on Sunday, April 28th, from 11am – 6pm.

Everyone from New Ulm is invited to participate. The purpose of this project is to capture a snapshot of the New Ulm community celebrating the heritage of all community members.

This project will include a long-term outdoor installation and a documentary of the New Ulm filming day which will be shown at the upcoming Twin Cities Film Festival in St. Louis Park, MN, from Oct 17-26. The goal is to get 300-400 people in the collage. People are encouraged to invite family, friends, and coworkers to the photoshoot.

Everyone who participates will receive a digital photo for their own use and be included in the final project. There is no cost to participants; however, we will be accepting freewill donations. Pre-registration is requested, but walk-ins will be accepted. Sign up for a time slot at calendly.com/mankatocollage/newulm. A link is available at www.newulm.com.

For more information, contact the Chamber at chamber@newulm.com or 507-233-4300.
