New Ulm, MN— The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Hot Topics: Listen & Learn program on Friday, February 23rd, from 11:30am to 1:30pm on the topic of MN State Unemployment Insurance. Aaron Tell, Outreach Specialist with the MN Department of Employment and Economic Development, has been invited to speak with our local employers about their MN unemployment insurance obligations and requirements. The presentation will cover what employers need to know about UI requirements, Quarterly Wage Detail reporting, tax rate determinations, costly mistakes employers make, and how to control UI costs. Attendees will hear directly from the agency charged with implementing, overseeing, and enforcing the state UI program, and will have the chance to ask questions specific to their business situation.
