The Grand Center for Arts & Culture held its opening reception for ArtScape, Friday. William Bukowski, professor emeritus from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, served as the juror. Artwork was judged in two different categories - adult and youth.
The following artists were selected as winners: Grand Prize adult: "Desperate" by Alex Jensen, Second Prize adult: "Flame" by Maggie Gray, Third Prize adult: "Bridge over Autumn" by Judy La Grow, Honorable Mention adult: "Day at the Pool" by Billy Thomas, Grand Prize youth: "Maggie" by Bethany Spike. The public is invited to visit the exhibit and vote for their favorite artwork in both the adult and youth category for the People's Choice Award. The People's Choice Award will be announced at the end of the exhibit on Dec. 22.
