American Legion Fish Fry March 12

NEW ULM — American LegionSeifert-Bianchi Post 132 will hold its 26th Annual Fish Fry on Friday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (or until gone).

Curb side pickup only at 13 So. Minn. St. New Ulm. The cost is $120 Adults and $6 for Children 10 & under.

ProMusica Minnesota Chamber Music Concert

NEW ULM — ProMusica Minnesota is returnign to live perfomances with a Chamber Music concert on on Sunday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 201 N State St, New Ulm.

ProMusica Minnesota will perform works by Bach, Debussy, and Brahms. The concert features ProMusica Minnesota’s Artistic Director, pianist Bethel Balge, Associate Principal Cello for the Minnesota Orchestra, Silver Ainomäe, and Principal Clarinet for the Minnesota Orchestra, Gabriel Campos Zamora.

The trio was introduced this past fall in ProMusica Minnesota’s Fall Virtual Concert and its subsequent Virtual Vignettes series. The concert will begin with Ainomäe performing the solo Cello Suite No. 6, in D Major by Johann Sebastian Bach. Next, Balge and Zamora will perform the lively duet Premiere Rhapsodie by Claude Debussy.

Finally, the trio will reprise Johannes Brahms’ A Minor Clarinet Trio from the Fall Virtual Concert.

Seating is limited, social distancing and masking will be required throughout the performance, and disposable masks will be available if needed. Paper contact will be minimized as well. The hour-long concert will be performed without an intermission.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. Purchasing tickets online at promusicamn.com is preferred to reduce paper contact, but remaining tickets will be available for purchase before the concert.

This concert is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
