Civil War Round Table: Walt Whitman’s Story
NEW ULM – Walt Whitman is known as the greatest American poet of the 19th Century, the most quotable poet ever – and the most photographed American poet ever!
A great poet, but Whitman also had a role to play in America’s Civil War that made him not just a great American poet but a great American. Join us at the Oct. 20 Civil War Round table and hear George Romano tell the fascinating story behind the man.
The Round Table meets in the lower level of the New Ulm Public Library, 6:30 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 20.
Everyone is welcome.
