The only thing raining from the overcast sky Friday evening was candy as the homecoming parade made its way down the five blocks of Highland Avenue.
New Ulm's cheer squad and marching band kicked off the parade excitement filling the street with school spirit and music. Following close behind were floats for various school teams and fine arts activities. The parade wrapped up with members of the court traveling in style. Homecoming King and Queen Josh Gordon and Piper Kapolczynski brought the parade to its conclusion.
The sun peeked out at times during the parade and hovered around the mid sixties by the time of the game against Belle Plaine.
