Fair horticulture tables feature 53 entries

NEW ULM -- The Brown County Free Fair Horticulture Division included 53 items on the honors table for receiving blue, red and white ribbons for champion, reserve champion and honorable mention.
Individuals with entries displayed on the honor's table included Ranger Ahlness, Donna Augustin, Megan Benage, Kari Beran, Dellilah Brandes, Molly Covington, Sarah Dryden, Evelyn Eckstein, Julie Gartner, Nellie Gremmels, Amanda Griebel, Tony Guggisberg, Lynn Hacker, Jerine Hoffman, Chris Holmen, Megan Hood, Heather Kressin, Janette Krzmarzick, Geri Leavens, Meredith Lewis, Madelyn Portner, Julie Riederer, Darcy Rolloff, Marianne Schotzko, Caeli Schlumberger, Deb Steinberg, Cynthia Surprenant, Monika Torzewski, Trudy Wastweet, Saige Wilfahrt, and Lenore Zitzman.
Entries included more than 100 interpretive flower designs, potted plants, senior citizen entries and general flower arrangements. There were more than 200 vegetable, fruit and herb division entries and flower specimens. Garden photography had almost 30 entries.
Garden seeds donated by New Ulm Runnings were available free to the public.
Master gardeners were on hand to answer garden questions.
