NEW ULM - Eight months after the sale of Associated Milk Producers Inc.’s (AMPI) New Ulm butter plant to Grassland Dairy Products, the building's exterior has received new signage.
The butter plant at 312 Center Street now features new "West Point" signage on the building.
The new signage was installed by Sid's Signs on Broadway, starting last week. Owner Sid DeLeo said the AMPI signage was removed two weeks ago to make room for the new green West Point signs. A total of five signs were placed on the butter plant. One facing German Street, three smaller signs on the Center Street side. The fifth sign was placed on the 1st N. Street facing side of the building.
DeLeo installed the north facing sign Monday morning. He said the original plan was to place the sign on Friday, but the thunderstorm delayed the installation.
DeLeo said there is one more large sign planned for the building. A large lighted sign will be placed on the Center Street side of the building sometime next week.
