NEW ULM -- Jason Braun of Sleepy Eye and Easton Mack of New Ulm grabbed first-place finishes at the 2026 American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Hillclimb Grand Championship at the Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club grounds last weekend.
Braun, 48, finished first among 23 placers in the veterans class, recording a 5.769 second run up the hill. Chad Mack, 47, of New Ulm finished 11th with a best time of 6.462 seconds.
Easton Mack, 14, of New Ulm won the 200 class with a best time of 6.028 seconds. He finished ninth in the 450 class.
Jared Gitter, 36, of New Ulm was Four-Stroke King of the Hill with a best time of 4.983 seconds. Gitter finished second in the 600 class with a best time of 5.213 seconds, second in the open class at 5.235 seconds, second in the four-stroke class, third in the two-stroke class and eighth in the 450 class.
Cameron Mack, 17, of New Ulm was eighth in the 600 class with a best time of 5.779 seconds.
Bennett Braulick, 11, of Sleepy Eye was Mini Junior Youth King of the Hill with a best time of 7.677 seconds. He finished third in the 65cc class and fifth in the Mini Junior class. Jacob Howk of New Ulm placed fifth in the 65cc class.
Matthew Gulden Jr., 59, of New Ulm was 14th in the masters class with a best time of 7.410 seconds.
Fastest time of the weekend was 4.791 seconds for Charlie Engnes of Beldonville, Wi. in the four stroke class.
