GAYLORD -- A 57-year-old St. Peter man admitted he sells methamphetamine after he was found with 543.77 grams of the drug in Green Isle July 28.
Dennis Charles Bourquin was charged with felony first-degree sale of a controlled substance and first-degree possession of a controlled substance in Sibley County Court Thursday.
According to court documents, the Sibley County Sheriff's Office assisted the Cannon River Violent Offenders and Drug Task Force with an investigation of Bourquin including a search warrant that included locating he and his vehicle at the Club New Yorker Bar in Green Isle.
Law enforcement searched the vehicle and found about 543.77 grams of meth and $276 in U.S. currency. Bourquin admitted he sells meth and just picked up a pound of meth in Golden Valley and paid $2,000 for it.
A second search warrant was executed at Bourquin's St. Peter residence where a ecstasy, an illegal synthetic drug, three firearms and $650 in U.S. currency were found. Bourquin was arrested and transported to the Sibley County Jail.
Currently on supervised release from prison, Bourquin was charged with first-degree sale of a controlled substance in Le Sueur County Court on April 7, 2021. He was convicted and sent to prison for 128 months in 2023 but was apparently placed on supervised release early, according to the complaint.
