NEW ULM – Care team members at New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) celebrated their 300th da Vinci robotic procedure as of May 15.
NUMC first received the da Vinci surgical robot in the summer of 2023.
The da Vinci is used by Drs. Keary Johnson, Cole Kircher, and Kellie Newman for gynecological and general surgeries. The robot allows the surgeon controlling it to be more efficient with a minimally invasive approach. As a critical access hospital, this robotic surgical system brings expertise and specialized care to the community and can also lead to improved patient outcomes.
