‘Paris: City of Love’ at NUHS
NEW ULM — A large group of high school students participated in the 2026 New Ulm High School Prom in the high school gym Saturday.
A large crowd of parents, relatives and friends watched the grand march for the event entitled “Paris: City of Love.”
Students talked fondly of the event that was so popular, all tickets were sold prior to the event.
“It’s fun. We all get to dress up and have fun hanging out with friends,” said Ella Wiegand. “It’s also an excuse to buy clothes, makeup and get my hair done.”
Amber Moll and her date Braydon Coult both said it takes a lot of effort to dress up for pictures and videos.
Emma Beranek said she enjoyed riding with her date, Aiden Krzmarzick of Sleepy Eye in his 1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue car and its red leather seats.
Many students said they planned to attend a free, safe post-prom party at the New Ulm Middle School gym after the prom formal dance in the high school gym. The post-prom party included games like blackjack, bingo, karaoke, beanbag boards, a mechanical bull and many prize drawings.
