NEW ULM — Under bright sunshine, downtown New Ulm was buzzing with activity Saturday with students from Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School, New Ulm Cathedral High School and New Ulm High School prom-goers posed for photos at various spots in fine attire.

As in past years, German Park was one of the more popular places. Other spots included Lykke Books and a number of other establishments were popular.

Students said they considered prom a good time to get dressed up and have fun with other students.

“It’s fun getting to see high school students come together just for fun,” said Cathedral High School student Brennan Glawe.

“It’s fun seeing everybody dressed up and happy,” said New Ulm High School student Taylynn Paulson.
