Brown Co. board OKs excess bus sales

Through MNBID state auction website

NEW ULM -- With new buses arriving, Brown County commissioners unanimously authorized Brown County Heartland Express to sell two buses on the MinnBid state auction website Tuesday.

Action came on a motion by Commissioner Tony Berg, seconded by Scott Windschitl to sell a 2012 Ford E450 with more than 287,000 miles and a 2013 Ford E450 with more than 273,000 miles.

As they have done in the past, Heartland Express will sell the buses on the state auction website, mnbid.mn.gov.

Brown County Heartland Express provides more than 50,000 rides a year in Brown County including New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, Evan, Cobden, Springfield, Comfrey and Hanska.

Riders of all ages and abilities are transported to their work places, health care appointments, shopping, schools and other community services and activities.

Brown County Heartland Express tokens are available at most area banks and grocery stores in Brown County and the Heartland Express office, 1900 Franklin St. N.
