NEW ULM --Monday's Music in the Park was jam packed for the two hour performance by "The Mages Family Band" and the "Black Diamond Band".
The concert kicked off at 6:30 p.m. with "The Mages Family Band" a group of five. The band played a variety of songs including "America The Beautiful," "Suds in the Bucket," and "What's Going On," along with others.
The temperature reached 90 degrees but that did not impact attendance. The amphitheater was packed for the performance. Frontman Larry Mages thanked the fans for sticking with them through the heat.
As the night went on, things cooled down and the "Black Diamond Band" performed. The group of four included Larry Mages' two sisters, Donna and Debbie.
The "Black Diamond Band" played songs such as "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" by "Creedence Clearwater Revival" and "Can't Help Falling in Love" by "Elvis Presley".
Next week is New Ulm Night Out, and the Music in the Park event will feature the "Schell's Hobo Band".
