Quiltistry returning to New Ulm

An assortment of quilts get set up at the Brown County Museum Annex in anticipation for the Quiltistry event Saturday. The Annex will feature quilts from the 17th and 18th centuries.

NEW ULM — Quiltistry is making its return to New Ulm on Saturday.

The event will show off quilts all over town. Displays will be featured in the Brown County Museum Annex, Wanda Gag House, Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, Grace Community Church, Junique Center, and Schell’s Brewery.

There will be unique quilts in each space. Brown County Museum Annex will have 17th and 18th century, Wanda Gag House will have ’30s and ’40s, The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame will have miniatures, Grace Community Church will have king and queen bed size, Junique Center will have a company called Twisted Sisters showing off their designs, and Schells will have a general variety.

Quiltistry is hosted jointly by Sewing Seeds Quilt Company, Spinning Spools Quilt Shop, and The Thimble Box. Participants are invited to visit each of the three quilt shops to receive a free 1,000-piece quilt themed puzzle.
