The 2023 Minnesota Sings -- a competition between cities throughout Minnesota designed for amateur vocalists -- announces it now has 11 cities signed up to compete in the 10th Annual Minnesota Sings which will take place on Oct. 7-8 at the historic Fairmont Opera House. The total prize package is $30,000.
Cities that want to participate have to put on a local "Sings" event to determine who will represent them at Minnesota Sings. For more information, go to www.minnesotasings.com

The event features two divisions: 13 to 20 year olds and 21 and older. The competitors sing to a backing track that cannot exceed 5 minutes and has to be memorized and the words have to be family friendly.
The 11 cities who have paid the $150 participation cost are: Bemidji, Blue Earth, Cold Spring, Cromwell, Elk River, Hastings, Plymouth, Wabasha-Kellogg, St. Cloud, Waseca County and West St. Paul.
