Planned landline 911 outage on May 4

BROWN COUNTY — The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has been notified by Nuvera that Never will be performing a planned software upgrade on Thursday, May 4, 2023, starting at 12:01 a.m. for the Brown County area, which will affect landline services.

During this timeframe, voice and FlexVoice business customers will experience a complete outage for approximately 30 minutes and a partial outage for up to approximately 3 hours. Also note that 911 will be down for 1 hour. Please call 844.354.4111 with any questions or if you experience issues following the maintenance.

During the planned upgrade, landline 9-1-1 services will not be available for approximately 30 minutes to an hour. Areas include:

• Brown County: including New Ulm area, Sleepy Eye area, Springfield area, Sleepy Eye area and the Hanska area.

• Nicollet County: Southwest portions of Nicollet County to include Courtland area.

• Redwood County: Redwood Falls area.

The planned software upgrade will not affect cell phone coverage or ability to call 9-1-1 from a cell phone. Nuvera has been contacting their affected customers prior to the planned upgrade.
