Area Knowledge Bowl teams place at state
Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School advanced to the State Knowledge Bowl Meet held Thursday and Friday at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd. Fifteen Class AA schools advanced to the meet and MVL took 2nd place with a score of 119.5. 1st place was Melrose with a score of 121.5. New Ulm took 3rd with a score of 113.5. New Ulm Purple finished their Knowledge Bowl season taking 3rd Place in the AA division at the State Knowledge Bowl Tournament held at Cragun’s Resort near Brainerd. The team from Melrose finished first, MVL Black was second, New Ulm Purple third, and GSL and Winona tied for fourth. After 11 trips, this is New Ulm’s highest placement ever at the state tournament.
