REDWOOD COUNTY — The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office identified the name of the woman who died in a March 31, 2023 house fire at 39054 Reservation Highway 1 as Theresa Wabasha.

The sheriff’s office and Redwood Falls Fire Department were dispatched to the residence for a house fire report at 8:13 p.m. March 31. The fire department put out the fire. Wabasha was found deceased in the home, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The incident is under investigation by the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office and State Fire Marshall Office to determine the fire cause.

Assisting on scene were the Lower Sioux Tribal Police Dept., Morgan Police, Carris Ambulance Service and the Morton Fire Dept.
