Comedy show at State Street Theater Saturday
NEW ULM — Stand-up comedian Tommy Ryman will bring his comedic talent to the stage at State Street Theater at 7 p.m. Saturday. A semi-finalist on Season 8 of the TV show, “Last Comic Standing,” Ryman is also winner of Best of Midwest at Gilda’s Laugh Fest, “Best Local Standup Comedian” by City Pages, and was invited to play at the Great American Comedy Festival at the Johnny Carson Theater.
Adding a local flair just prior to Tommy’s routine will be the winner of SSTC’s comedian contest held earlier in March. Tommy’s opening act is Audra Shaneman, who will start the show with 5 minutes of her funniest stuff.
Starting the evening out is musician, local singer and songwriter Andrea Lyn, joined by her group, The Wildflowers.
Tickets for the show can be purchased for $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They are available at New Ulm Hy-Vee, Chamber of Commerce, online at statestreetnewulm.org or by calling 507-359-9990. Parking is available in the theater’s lot and on the street. Patrons are not to park in the neighboring lot belonging to the adjacent Emerson Union apartments.
