Local teacher nominated for NHL/NHLPA award

NEW ULM — Victoria Tambornino, media technology teacher at the New Ulm Middle School, has been nominated for the NHL/NHLPA’s Most Valuable Teacher award.

Through the Future Goals- Hockey Scholars program, New Uln students have been able to keep their STEM skills sharp during the school year.

As part of this nomination, there is the opportunity for the New Ulm Middle School to be recognized by the NHL/NHLPA for its STEM accomplishments this year and win $10,000 to go towards Environmental Sustainability Resources for the District donated by SAP.

Through March 31, community members (including teachers, students, and parents) can visit nhl.com/mvt to vote for Victoria Tambornino and the MN Wild.

Mrs, Tambornino, who has been a teacher in District 88 for 33 years, has been chosen as one of 20 teachers in North America for the Most Valuable Teacher Award. She has a chance to win $10,000 for the School District. Please vote and share the link for others to also vote for her. People can vote once every day
