New Ulm FFA Ag Mechanics Team 1st in Region contest

The New Ulm FFA Ag Mechanics team qualified for state competition by winning the Region VII Ag Mechanics Contest this past Friday at SCC. The team beat out 17 teams to take first. The team will compete at State, April 23-25, in the Twin Cities at the Pipefitters Training Facility.

Students had to complete a content test, stick weld a T weld, do plumbing (solder copper pipe), do problem solving and practicums (demonstrate skills) in large and small engines, electric motors and sensors, and masonry/concrete.
