SIOUX FALLS -- A 46-year-old Marshall man was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, followed by life on supervised release in federal court last month.
Jeremy Allan Anspach was convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance on Sept. 26, 2022. He pleaded guilty June 27, 2022 and was indicted by a federal grand jury in September 2021.
Anspach reportedly conspired with others to distribute 500 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture in South Dakota and elsewhere, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office District of South Dakota.
He helped transport several pounds of methamphetamine from Arizona, California and other states into South Dakota. Anspach sold methamphetamine to undercover agents during an investigation.
From 2019 to 2021, the Brown Lyon Redwood Renville Drug Task Force (BLRR DTF) worked closely with multiple local enforcement agencies, the West Central DTF, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, FBI and DEA in the investigation.
The BLRR DTF encourages anyone with information of any criminal or suspicious activity to reach out to local law enforcement.
