October is Eligibility Worker and Case Aide recognition month

The COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges to the way the Brown County Human Services Department did business during the public health emergency, according to Nancy Braan, the department’s financial assistance supervisor.

Policies were adjusted as a new way of thinking was needed.

“We strive to think outside the box and to continue to provide quality service to our community,” said Braam. “We adjusted practices and have kept them in place to keep everyone safe while preserving our workforce.

Brown County Human Services Department is acknowledging the income maintenance unit for its continued commitment to the community during Eligibility Worker and Case Aide Recognition month in October.

Brown County’s Human Services Department has eligibility workers and a case aide with a combined 233 years of experience. These staff members work directly with residents to assign staff members to provide help.

These workers are standing by ready to provide assistance to anyone in need.

“I am very proud to share that our staff is top notch and second to none. The kindness, compassion, and expertise shared are impressive” Braam said. “We are here to serve the community and strive to do so with integrity and patience.”
