Poster winners see from others’ perspectives

NEW ULM -- The winners
of the Human Rights
Commission poster and
essay contest were announced
Monday.
In the poster contest;
third place went to Cheyenne
Henrichs; Christian
Swantz and Mason Sherrod
tied for second and Mario
Mendoza won first place.
This year's poster theme
was: How would the world
look different if people
took the time to see things
through others' perspectives?
The essay contest winner
was Megan Hames. This
year's essay prompt was:
How could consider ing the
perspectives of others while
making decisions influence
situations in our world?
Commissioner Wendi
Ringhofer said the commission
was pleased with
this year's submissions. She
said the amount of effort and
message conveyed through
art was impressive.
The winning poster submissions
will be displayed
at The Grand Center for Arts
and Culture next month.
