New Ulm police officer arrested

WASECA — An investigator with the New Ulm Police Department was arrested Monday night on charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and incarcerated at the Waseca County Jail.

The Waseca County Jail listed Eric Alan Gramentz as an inmate after he was booked and photographed at the jail at 12:09 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is listed as the arresting agency, according to Waseca County.

Gramentz is currently listed as an Investigator with the New Ulm Police Department.

He status at the jail is lised at “pending.” Other inmates had statuses of “bail set.”

When called to confirm Gramentz’s arrest, Brown County deputy Jeremy Reed refused to confirm any details on the case, because there was an “active investigation.”
