Jerry Svoboda honored at CHS Annual Meeting

ST. PAUL – Jerry Svoboda has been honored by CHS Inc., the nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative, for contributing more than 25 years of service to strengthening and growing the cooperative system. He is general manager of Farmers Cooperative of Hanska in Hanska, Minn.

Svoboda was recognized at the CHS Annual Meeting, held Dec. 2-3 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jay Debertin, president and CEO of CHS, congratulated the newest members of the Cooperative Leadership Circle during a special ceremony at the annual meeting.

“Jerry’s experience and leadership are an inspiration to others within the cooperative system,” said Debertin. “He has demonstrated true dedication to helping farmers succeed, while also strengthening his cooperative and community to serve future generations.”

Svoboda has worked in the cooperative system for more than four decades, including serving as general manager of FCA Co-op in Jackson, Minn.

Since 1973, CHS and its predecessors have honored more than 1,100 cooperative general managers and CEOs for their service to the cooperative system. The Cooperative Leadership Circle recognizes those who have served 25 or more years in the cooperative system, including at least 10 years as general manager.
