Morgan Harpenau

NEW ULM — United Way of the Brown County Area has named Morgan Harpenau as the Executive Director for the organization.

Harpenau comes to Brown County from Sioux City, Iowa where she held the position of Community Impact & Communications Associate within the United Way of Siouxland for the last five years.

“I’m excited to bring my United Way knowledge to Brown County and become a member of this community,” Harpenau said. “I firmly believe in our mission and the work that United Way does every day.”

Harpenau graduated Briar Cliff University with degrees in Journalism & Mass Communications and Business Administration. After graduating she worked for two years at KTIV News 4 in Sioux City as Assignment Editor and Producer. She is a Minnesota native having grown up northwest of the Twin Cities and says she is ready to be back to her home state.

“It’s true what they say in that there is no place like home,” Harpenau said.
