NUFD called to Burger King

NEW ULM — Three New Ulm Fire Department units responded to a fire call at about 4:40 p.m. Monday at Burger King, 1922 S. Broadway.

Assistant Fire Chief Aaron Wilfhahrt said a roof-mounted air conditioning unit got hot, causing smoke. Firefighters vented and cleared smoke and cooled the air conditioning unit with water, spending about 20 minutes at the restaurant before clearing the scene.
