SLEEPY EYE -- The Sleepy Eye City Council will consider a extending a balloon payment date for Sleepy Eye Lodging, LLC on Tuesday, Aug. 10.
The maturity date for a $400,000 promissory note (loan) plus $63,709.63 in accrued interest that began to accrue Aug. 22, 2016 is Aug. 22, 2021. The fixed rate for the note is 3%.
The council will also consider:
• Accepting a $2,477.07 donation from United Farmers Co-op for fire department equipment maintenance and training.
• The second reading an amendment to the animal control ordinance.
• A lot split resolution by Toby and Jodi Arneson.
• A $200,000 purchase agreement for property north of the firehall, at 117 2nd Ave. S.W.
• A city engineer's report on 2020 street and utility improvements, 12th Avenue/St. Mary's St. improvements and 2021-2022 CSAH/1st Avenue improvements.
