Nicollet Co. special board meeting is virtual

NICOLLET COUNTY — The Nicollet County Board of Commissioners special meeting on Thursday, April 1 to consider personnel and other issues will be a virtual meeting on Zoom.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. by telephone or other electronic means due to the COVID 19 pandemic, resulting state and federal emergency declarations and guidance limiting unnecessary person-to-person contact.

Commissioners met virtually March 18 and closed the meeting for preliminary consideration of allegations or charges against individuals subject to the board’s authority, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 13D.

Agenda items for the April 1 meeting include:

• Consideration of a separation agreement with Nicollet County Administrator Ryan Krosch.

• A resignation letter from human resources director/assistant administrator Jamie Haefner.

• Designating a responsible authority for data requests-interim county administrator.

• Authorizing the personnel committee to make hiring and salary offers upon consultation with department heads pending selection of a human resource director.

• Board committee assignments.

• COVID-19 license center shutdown.

• The American Rescue Plan Act, providing additional relief to address continued COVID-19 impact on the economy, public health, state and local governments, individuals, and businesses.

• Review and consideration of a letter to an employee.
