BROWN COUNTY -- Voters with absentee ballots they have not yet mailed are urged to drop them off by hand, have another person drop it off, or vote in person at their polling site.
Voters who already returned absentee ballots can track them online to see if they've been received at http://www.mnvotes.org/track.
If a ballot is still outstanding, voters can instead cast a vote in person. Their absentee ballot will be cancelled once the state receives it.
(A Journal story in the weekend edition said that voters cannot vote in person if they had send in an absentee ballot. They can actually still vote in person if the absentee ballot has not been counted.)
Ballots can be returned in person to the Brown County Auditor-Treasurer's Office on the second floor of the Brown County Courthouse until 3 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Residents can drop off ballots of up to three other voters but will need to show identification with name and signature when returning a ballot for someone else. Ballots may not be dropped at polling places on Election Day.
Brown County polling locations open at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
