Two more school board members file for reelection

NEW ULM — Two New Ulm Public School Board members have filed to be on the ballot for the school board election.

Christie Dewanz and Jonathan Schiro filed affidavits of candidacy with the District 88 School Board, Thursday. Dewanz and Schiro are the second and third board members to file for re-election. Mathew Ringhofer filed on July 30.

This year, four school board seats are up for election including the seats held by Dewanz, Schiro, Ringhofer and Denny Waloch. Waloch is the only incumbent board member yet to file.

District 88 voters will be asked to vote for four individuals to fill these seats on Tuesday, Nov. 3. There is no primary for school board.

The deadline for filing for the school board election is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11.
