NUACS names new superintendent/St. Anthony principal

NEW ULM -- New Ulm Area Catholic Schools (NUACS) have a new Superintendent and St. Anthony Elementary Principal.

NUACS Canonical Administrator Msgr. Douglas Grams announced John Kimec was named the new NUACS Superintendent and SAE Principal.

Kimec received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from St. Mary's University in Winona and his principal licensure from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He has been in education for sixteen years and has spent thirteen of those years in administration. 

Kimec and his wife, Lindsay, have five children ranging from two years old to eleven years old. He and his family will move back to Minnesota from Illinois in June, and he will take on the new position on July 6. 

"It is with great anticipation that I look forward to beginning at the wonderful community of St. Anthony Elementary and working with Mr. Hazuka and the great people at Cathedral High School," Cimek said. "I look forward to meeting all of you and making the journey with you and your children towards the greatness to which we are all called."
