NEW ULM — On Saturday, February 8, the Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School (MVL) speech team competed at the Crusader Classic Speech Tournament in Mankato.

In the novice division, Gracen Lukasek took third place in Poetry. Andy Muske and Nick Pleiss placed 3rd in Duo Interpretation.

In the varsity division, Michael Bovee placed 5th in the Informative category. In Humorous Interpretation, Josiah Guenther took 3rd place and Kincaid Diersen placed 5th. Maida Jaspersen won first place in Extemporaneous Reading.

The team competes again on February 22 at the Mankato East Fiesta Speech Tournament.
