HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN, that the City
Council of the City of
New Ulm, Brown
County, Minnesota will
meet in the Council
Chambers in the New
Ulm City Hall on Tues-
day, September 1,
2026 at 4:30 p.m. to
consider ordering in
the following improve-
ments to be made,
to-wit:
2027 MSAS IM-
PROVEMENT PRO-
JECT
1. North Garden Street
from Center Street to
5th North Street. Pro-
ject consists of recon-
structing the existing
roadway segment util-
izing the existing hor-
izontal and vertical
alignment. The project
would include water-
main reconstruction,
water end service
reconstruction, storm
sewer rehabilitation &
modifications, storm
water treatment, grad-
ing, aggregate base,
pedestrian safety im-
provements, bitumi-
nous surfacing,
boulevard restoration,
trees, sidewalk con-
struction, a LED street
lighting system and
mini roundabout con-
struction at the inter-
section of 5th North
Street.
pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes, Sections
429.011 to 429.111.
The area proposed to
be assessed for such
improvements is each
lot, piece and parcel of
property specially
benefited by said im-
provements. A reason-
able estimate of the
impact of the assess-
ment will be available
at the hearing. The to-
tal estimated cost of
the 2027 MSAS IM-
PROVEMENTS PRO-
JECT is
$5,376,700.00. Such
persons as desired to
be heard with refer-
ence to the proposed
improvements will be
heard at this meeting.
