NOTICE OF PUBLIC

HEARING

TO ADOPT FOUR

AREA PLANS

Whereas, the New

Ulm City Council

adopted a new

Comprehensive Muni-

cipal Plan (“Plan”) at

its June 4, 2024 meet-

ing; and

Whereas, the City, as

part of this planning

process, requested

further consideration of

the potential for growth

and development in

four smaller locations;

and

Whereas, these four

locations are known as

Downtown, Upper Cot-

tonwood, East Airport

and Northwest New

Ulm/Milford; and

Whereas, separate

area draft plans have

been prepared for each

of these locations that

provide direction for

their future growth and

development; and

Whereas, the four

area draft plans will

serve as an amend-

ment to the

Comprehensive Plan

but will be contained in

a separate document;

and

Whereas, Minnesota

State Statutes

462.355, Subdivision 2

requires the New Ulm

Planning Commission

to hold a Public Hear-

ing on the amendment

of the City’s

Comprehensive Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED,

that the New Ulm Plan-

ning Commission will

conduct a Public Hear-

ing on the adoption of

the four area draft

plans identified as

Downtown, Upper Cot-

tonwood, East Airport

and Northwest New

Ulm/Milford and that

they will further consid-

er a recommendation

to the City Council to

approve or deny at the

draft plans.

BE IT FURTHER

RESOLVED, that the

four draft plans will

serve as an amend-

ment to the City’s

Comprehensive Muni-

cipal Plan for the City

of New Ulm, Minneso-

ta.

BE IT FURTHER

RESOLVED, that said

hearing will be held on

Thursday, June 27,

2024 at 4:30 p.m. in

the City Council

Chambers in the New

Ulm City Hall, 100

North Broadway, New

Ulm, Minnesota.

All persons in atten-

dance will be given an

opportunity to speak on

this matter. The public

and all interested par-

ties are hereby official-

ly notified of said Pub-

lic Hearing.

All written comments

on the amendment to

the Comprehensive

Plan will be read into

the record and must be

received by Noon,

Thursday, June 27,

2024, and shall be sub-

mitted to:
