NOTICE OF PUBLIC

HEARING

TO ADOPT A

COMPREHENSIVE

PLAN

Whereas, the City of

New Ulm has prepared

a new Comprehensive

Municipal Plan “Plan”)

pursuant to Minnesota

State Statutes

462.355; and

Whereas, a Plan is an

official statement by

the New Ulm City

Council that describes

the community’s

shared vision, goals,

and objectives for fu-

ture growth and

development; and

Whereas, the draft

Comprehensive Plan

includes area plans for

the Downtown, Upper

Cottonwood, East Air-

port and Northwest

New Ulm/Milford; and

Whereas, the Plan

addresses both current

and long-term needs

and provides for a bal-

ance between the na-

tural and built environ-

ment; and

Whereas, Minnesota

State Statutes

462.355, Subdivision 2

requires the New Ulm

Planning Commission

to hold a Public Hear-

ing on the adoption of

the City’s draft Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED,

that the New Ulm Plan-

ning Commission will

conduct a Public Hear-

ing on the draft

Comprehensive Muni-

cipal Plan for the City

of New Ulm on Thurs-

day, May 30, 2024 at

4:30 p.m. in the City

Council Chambers in

the New Ulm City Hall,

100 North Broadway,

New Ulm, Minnesota.

All persons in atten-

dance will be given an

opportunity to speak on

this matter. The public

and all interested par-

ties are hereby official-

ly notified of said Pub-

lic Hearing.

All written comments

on the Plan will be read

into the record and

must be received by

Noon, Thursday, May

30, 2024, and shall be

submitted to:
