RFP: Storage Build-

ing – New Ulm Battery

Project Introduction

and Overview:

The City of New Ulm is

looking to build an un-

conditioned storage

building to house the

New Ulm Battery and

their equipment. This

building will be located

next to the current

storage and operation-

al building by the com-

post site and adjacent

to the trap range. The

address of the site is

214 21 st North Street,

New Ulm, MN, 56073.

This project is

scheduled for comple-

tion on or before Au-

gust 16, 2024.

Proposal Submittal:

Bids are to include the

following sectional

breakdowns:

1. Storage Building

Materials – per the in-

cluded specifications

2. Storage Building

Erection Labor

3. Storage Building

Concrete Labor & Ma-

terials – interior and ex-

terior apron

4. Ammo Storage

Room – Materials and

Labor

5. Option 1: Interior

Finish (walls & ceiling),

including insulating

walls and ceiling

Bids are to be submit-

ted, 1 hard copy, in a

sealed envelope by

February 28, 2024, no

later than 2:00 pm.

Insurance: Upon

award, the contractor

shall submit a certifi-

cate of general liability

($1,000,000 min) and

worker’s compensation

insurance ($100,000

minimum).

Withdrawal of Propo-

sal: Any submitted

proposal can be with-

drawn anytime prior to

the closing of the bid-

ding timeframe. After

the opening of the pro-

posals, no proposal

can be withdrawn for a

period of 60 days un-

less authorized by the

City of New Ulm, Park

& Rec Department.

Award of Contract:

Contract will be award-

ed to the lowest, quali-

fied bidder.

Rejection of Bids: The

City of New Ulm

reserves the right to re-

ject any and all propo-

sals and wave infor-

malities.

there is a request to
