NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

WHEREAS, the New Ulm City Council has initiated proceedings to consider the amendment of the following sections of Appendix A (Zoning Ordinance) to the City Code: 1) Chapter 6, Section 6.3: I-2 General Industrial District, Revision of Table 6-2: I-2 Development Standards, to allow a second set of standards; 2) Chapter 9, Section 9.2: Use Specific Standards, G. Regulations for Commercial Uses, revises standards for Auto Repair-Minor and Vehicle Sales or Rental; H. Regulations for Industrial Uses, revises standards for Auto Repair-Major, Machinery/Truck Repair & Sales and Truck or Freight Terminal; 3) Chapter 12, Section 12.6: Remedies and Penalties, incorporates abatement authority from Chapter 8 of the City Code; and 4) Chapter 13, Section 13.3: Definitions, adds a new definition for “Vehicle, Inoperable or Junk”; and

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that this matter be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider this matter. The public and all interested parties are hereby officially notified of said hearing.
