LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP ANNUAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given to the residents of Lafayette Township, Nicollet County that the annual meeting will be held March 14, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Lafayette Township Hall in Klossner. All necessary business as prescribed by law will be conducted. In case of bad weather, the meeting may be postponed until Tuesday, March 21st. at 7:00 pm. All residents are encouraged to attend.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NEW ULM CHILDCARE RENOVATIONS

BID DATE AND LOCATION:

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received, publicly opened, and read aloud by representatives of the City of New Ulm at New Ulm City Hall, located at 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota 56073 at 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 16, 2023, for furnishing of all work and materials for consideration of the project: New Ulm Childcare Renovations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Construction Documents and Project Manual describe general construction of the interior building renovations. The work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, interior partitions, doors and windows, interior finishes, plumbing piping and equipment, lighting, and electrical systems.

Construction work for the project is shown on the drawings and defined in the Project Manual as prepared by Oleson + Hobbie Architects LLC of Mankato, MN.

A bidders conference has been scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the location of the work, 1314 Westridge Road, New Ulm, MN 56073. All general contract bidders and subcontractors are invited. Representatives of the design team and Owner will be in attendance. Summarized minutes of the meeting will be circulated to attendees. Information relevant to the Bid Documents will be recorded in an addendum, issued to Bid Document recipients.

WORK ON THIS PROJECT TO BE COMPLETED BY: OCTOBER 1, 2023.

Bids must be on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials, and no bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, or bidder’s bond, payable to City of New Ulm, for not less than 5% of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will, within ten (10) days after notification of the award of contract, enter into an agreement with the City and furnish a bond for the full amount of the contract as provided for by law. This deposit will be subject to forfeiture as provided by law.

Cash deposits, certified checks, and bidder’s bonds of the three (3) lowest bidders may be retained until the contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than 60 days from the date of opening bids. All other deposits will be refunded promptly.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities therein; and to adjourn the meeting to a later date for the purpose of further consideration of the bids and taking action thereon. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days from the date of opening of bids.

The Economic Development Authority will consider award of contract at their regular meeting held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

NOTICE AND ORDER OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR FORMAL ADJUDICATION OF INTESTACY, DETERMINATION OF HEIRSHIP, APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

It is Ordered and Notice is given that on March 27, 2023, at 9:45 AM, a hearing will be held in this Court at 14 S. State St., New Ulm, Minnesota, for the adjudication of intestacy and determination of heirship of the Decedent, and for the appointment of Bradley Fulkerson, whose address is 2104 S. Broadway, Park Place Apt. #302, Brown County, New Ulm, MN, 56073 as Personal Representative of the Estate of the Decedent in an UNSUPERVISED administration.

Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper and if no objections are filed or raised, the Personal Representative will be appointed with full power to administer the Estate, including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate.

Notice is also given that (subject to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be

barred.
