PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Review of the City of New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota, will meet on Monday the 18th day of April, 2022 at the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, MN at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and also to determine whether corrections need to be made.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Those wishing to appeal their valuation or classification should call 507-233-6606, prior to the meeting day, to set up an appointment or affirm their concerns by letter to the County Assessor, Brown County Courthouse, P.O. Box 248, New Ulm, MN 56073. Appointments are required for City Boards.
The Board of Review cannot act on current year property taxes. They can act only on the valuation or classification for property taxes payable in 2023.

REQUEST OF THE COUNTY OF BROWN, BY THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT THE RIGHT TO MAKE MINOR ALTERATIONS OR CHANGESCOUNTY DITCH NO. 1 IN BROWN COUNTY
NOTICE OF HEARING
TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN COUNTY DITCH NO. 1, IN BROWN COUNTY MINNESOTA:
YOU, AND EACH OF YOU, WILL PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the County of Brown, by the Highway Department, has filed a Resolution with the Auditor of Brown County, pursuant to Section 163.17 of Minnesota Statutes, requesting that they be allowed to make minor alterations or changes in County Ditch No. 1. That attached to said Resolution now on file is a plan description of the minor alterations or changes requested for. That the portion of said County Ditch No. 1, which is proposed to be changed or altered is shown by maps and plans attached to said Resolution.
That said Resolution alleges that it is advantageous and desirable in the construction and maintenance of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 11 that said minor alterations or changes be made, and that said minor alterations or changes petitioned for will not affect the functioning or impair the efficiency of said County Ditch No. 1.
YOU WILL FURTHER TAKE NOTICE, that said Resolution will be presented to the Brown County Drainage Authority in the Commissioner’s Room in New Ulm, Minnesota on the 19th day of April, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., at which time all persons interested in said ditch system may be heard and present arguments for or against the granting of said Resolution.
