Seeking Quotes
The Cottonwood Township Board is seeking quotes for supplying, crushing, loading and hauling 2500-4000 yards (more or less) of either crushed class 5 gravel and crushed class 1 gravel. The gravel must meet DOT specifications for crushed gravel.
The contractor must have sufficient equipment to place the gravel on the township roads in no more than 10 consecutive working days. Before starting, the contractor shall notify the Supervisors and supply a gradation report. The work must be completed no later than June 30, 2022. Contractor shall indicate location of pit the gravel will come from. All loads shall be weighed and weight slips shall be turned over to the township when payment is requested.
Certificate of insurance must be included with quote. Quotes must be marked as a quote on the outside and received by the Township Clerk prior to the April regular meeting, which will be held Thursday April 14, 2022, at 7:00 pm. New Ulm Library Rooftop Unit Project

1. GENERAL:
The City of New Ulm requests bids to remove and replace two roof top units at 17 N Broadway Street in the City of New Ulm.
2. SPECIFICATIONS:
Bid shall include all specifications and designs for new materials. Bid shall include all materials and labor to properly complete the project as specified in the scoping as stated below.
Contractor shall complete project by October 2022.
All work on this project must be code compliant.
All work must be completed and accepted before payment will be made. Payment will be made within 30 days of completion and receipt of invoice. Only one payment will be made by the City of New Ulm.
3. SCOPE: Remove and replace units numbered 1 and 2 including existing adapted curbs
A. Remove and properly dispose of both units, adapted curbs, and materials associated with both on the roof.
B. Replace adapted curbs and rooftop units with like tonnage of cooling and btu for heating including controls (see alternates F and E below). a. Unit shall consist of Supply air fan, filters, DX cooling and a 7-day programmable thermostat.
b. Provide an override switch to operate unit during occupied hours. Switch shall be part of the programmable thermostat. Override switch allows the unit to operate for two hours. c. Occupied Mode: Based on the rooftop units’ hours of occupancy, start the unit at the beginning of occupancy and shut down the unit at the end of occupancy. (Note: outside air damper within the RTU shall open and then the RTU shall start). The unit shall start earlier as determined by the program for early warm up or cooldown. On a system startup, the RTU fan shall start and run continuously, and the internal factory controls shall be enabled. Based on the space temperature sensor, the unit shall cycle the heating/cooling to maintain the space temperature setpoint. i. Economizer mode: The integral economizer logic board shall determine when the economizer cooling is possible. ii. Humidity control (if equipped and based on climate): Upon detection of relative humidity above 55%, the unit shall cycle into dehumidification mode if not already in cooling. d. Unoccupied mode: The RTU internal OA dampers shall remain closed when the building is not occupied. The RTU shall stop heating/cooling and the fan shall stop if the space temperature falls below 60 degrees F (adjustable)the unit shall start and heat until the space temperature rises above 64 degrees F (adjustable) and then shut down. If the space temperature rises above 85 degrees F (adjustable) the unit shall start and cool until the space temperature is 80 degrees F (adjustable) and then shut down. e. Upon detection of smoke by unit smoke detectors, both RTUs shall shut down and an alarm shall be sent to the fire alarm control panel. Local remote annunciators shall also be activated. C. Provide alternate pricing to remove and replace insulation and wrap on ductwork on roof surface.
D. Provide alternate pricing for multistage heating and cooling units.
E. Provide alternate pricing for Wi-Fi accessible controls still meeting control requirements above.
F. Contractor will provide complete project pricing including (if necessary): crane, electrical, controls, roof patching, plumbing including gas piping, insulation, and disposal of existing units. G. List is not all inclusive or exclusive, must attend Prebid walk through to bid project.
H. Contractor awarded bid will self-perform HVAC specific work, controls and insulation may be sub-contracted.
4. INSURANCE:
The Contractor shall submit proof of general liability and worker’s compensation insurance prior to the start of project construction.
5. SCHEDULE:
This work can begin immediately. Completion date shall be on or before October 15th, 2022.
6.PROPOSAL AWARD:
Bids shall be submitted to the City Hall Inspections Office, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota 56073 no later than 1:30 P.M., March 24, 2022. Bids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly marked Library Roof Replacement.
7. WITHDRAWL OF BIDS:
A bidder may withdraw their bid at any time prior to the scheduled time for receipt of bids. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 calendar days after the scheduled opening of bids without the consent of the City of New Ulm.
8. AWARD OF CONTRACT:
Contract shall be awarded to the lowest most responsible bidder.
9. REJECTION OF BIDS:
The City of New Ulm reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.
10. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY:
The Contractor and the Contractor’s Subcontractors shall not discriminate against an employee or applicant for employment because of race, religion, color sex or national origin. 11. INSPECTION OF BUILDING:
