Sealed bids may be delivered to the Office of the Finance Director, Municipal Building, located at 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota 56073 prior to the 10:00 A.M. bid opening on WEDNESDAY, the 23rd day of MARCH, 2022. The City will publicly open and read all bids received by the Finance Director immediately thereafter for the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, materials and every other article or thing necessary for the complete construction of the following improvement, to-wit:
2022 Utility, Street and Alley Improvements – Group I
Work includes improvements to municipal utilities, streets, alleys, and sidewalks at various locations within the City limits of New Ulm, Minnesota.
All bids must be sealed and marked “2022 Utility, Street and Alley Improvements – Group I” and each and every proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified check for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid, payable to the City, to be forfeited to the City in case the successful bidder fails to enter into contract and to furnish satisfactory bond within ten (10) days after acceptance of such bid. The bid will remain subject to acceptance for 45 days after the day of bid opening. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer are on file and may be examined at the City Engineer’s Office. Complete digital project plans and specifications are available at www.newulmmn.gov or www.questcdn.com. You may download the digital plan documents for $30.00 by inputting Quest project #8080574 on the website’s Project Search page. Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation hereby notifies all bidders:

Seeking Quotes
The Cottonwood Township Board is seeking quotes for supplying, crushing, loading and hauling 2500-4000 yards (more or less) of either crushed class 5 gravel and crushed class 1 gravel. The gravel must meet DOT specifications for crushed gravel.
The contractor must have sufficient equipment to place the gravel on the township roads in no more than 10 consecutive working days. Before starting, the contractor shall notify the Supervisors and supply a gradation report. The work must be completed no later than June 30, 2022. Contractor shall indicate location of pit the gravel will come from. All loads shall be weighed and weight slips shall be turned over to the township when payment is requested.
Certificate of insurance must be included with quote. Quotes must be marked as a quote on the outside and received by the Township Clerk prior to the April regular meeting, which will be held Thursday April 14, 2022, at 7:00 pm.
