NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, Kyle Rhodes, on behalf of Donlar Construction (Applicant) and Russell Eckholm, on behalf of the State of Minnesota Department of Military Affairs (Owner) have filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Conditional Use Permit to place a special purpose fence on the property legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Palmer Addition. The street address of the property is 2100 Palmer Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Oleson + Hobbie Architects LLC, on behalf of Martin Luther College, have filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Variance to allow up to 1,545.5 square feet of exterior signage on the Betty Kohn Fieldhouse on property zoned R-A (Agricultural Residence District) at 1800 Boettger Road. The property is legally described as Lot A of E of W of Sec. 30, Twp. 110, Range 30, Brown County, Minnesota, except the Bushard Subdivision and Bushard 2nd Subdivision. The permitted amount of sign area allowed in the R-A zoning district is 30 square feet; and
WHEREAS, Tim Cordes has filed an application with the City of New Ulm, requesting a Variance to allow a 10′ x 12′ accessory structure to be located 6′ from the side property line on property zoned R-1 (Single Family Residence District) at 1827 North Jefferson Street. The property is legally described as Lot 5 and Lot 6, Block 163 North of Center Street. The required side yard setback is 10 feet; and
WHEREAS, the City Code requires that these matters be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider these matters. The public and all interested parties are hereby officially notified of said hearings.
