NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

WHEREAS, Eric Bode, on behalf of Zen Franklib, LLC, has filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow the location of four apartment dwelling units in a B-3 (General Business) zoning district at 126 North Minnesota Street. This property is legally described as 7 ¢” x 70′ of Lot 9 and all of Lot 8, Block 64 North of Center Street; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Bertrang, on behalf of New Ulm Public Schools, has filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow the location of a Career Technical Education (CTE) Center in an I-2 (General Industrial) zoning district at 201-211 North Front Street, 125 3rd North Street and 202 North Valley Street. The CTE Center would teach classes at this location on automotive, machining/milling, welding, carpentry, engineering, construction, and related subjects. This property is legally described as Lots 1-3 and 8-14, Block 2 North of Center Street; and

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that these matters be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider these matters. The public and all interested parties are hereby officially notified of said hearings. Those attending the meeting must adhere to mask and social distancing guidelines.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we encourage the submittal of written comments instead of attendance at the meeting. All written comments will be read into the record and must be received by Noon, Thursday, May 27, 2021, and shall be submitted to: Community Development Department, City of New Ulm, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, MN 56073 or to.
