NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

WHEREAS, Jason Kletscher has filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a variance from the City Code to allow a 20′ x 22′ garage addition to be constructed 3′ from the side yard property line on the property legally described as Lot 9, Block 181 South of Center Street. The street address is 12 North Payne Street. The property is zoned R-2 (Single and Two Family Residence District). The required side yard setback is 5′ for a detached accessory structure; and

WHEREAS, Paul and Colleen Beranek have filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a variance from the City Code to allow a 28′ x 36′ storage shed to be constructed 10′ from the front yard property line on the property legally described as Lot 6, Block 1, Lambrecht’s First Addition. The street address is 1017 Southridge Road. The property is zoned R-1 (Single Family Residence District). The required front yard setback is 30′ for a detached accessory structure; and

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that these matters be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider these matters. The public and all interested parties are hereby officially notified of said hearings. Those attending the meeting must adhere to mask and social distancing guidelines.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we encourage the submittal of written comments instead of attendance at the meeting. All written comments will be read into the record and must be received by Noon, Wednesday, February 24, 2021, and shall be submitted to: Community Development Department, City of New Ulm, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, MN 56073 or to davids@newulmmn.
