Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners, Brown County; New Ulm, MN will accept sealed bids, at the Office of the County Administrator, in the Brown County Courthouse, New Ulm, MN. until 2:00 p.m. on the 25th day of February, 2020 for the following project:

*SAP 008-594-002: 12th Ave. NE & St. Mary’s Street NE, Elm Street and City Lot Improvements including: Grading, Aggregate Base, Bituminous Pavement, Concrete Curb & Gutter, Sidewalk, Storm Sewer, Storm Pond, Sanitary Sewer, Watermain, and Turf Restoration located in the northeast portion of the City of Sleepy Eye, Brown County, MN.

Major quantities of work include:

Base Bid: 4285 Ton Bituminous Surfacing, 15496 Ton Aggregate Base Class 5, 41684 C.Y. Common Excavation, 72503 C.Y. Channel & Pond Excavation, 6420 LF Concrete Curb & Gutter Design B618, 3460 LF 12“- 42” RC Storm Sewer, 3115 LF PVC 8” PVC Sanitary Sewer, 4155 LF 6″ – 8″ PVC Watermain, 10.0 Acres Permanent Seeding, and 1 L.S. Traffic Control.

Alternate Bid No. 1: 1472 Ton Bituminous Surfacing, 4916 Ton Aggregate Base Class 5, 7397 C. Y. Common Excavation, 1178 LF Concrete Curb & Gutter Design B618, 1185 L.F. Concrete Curb & Gutter Design Special 1 (Mountable Type), 685 LF 12“- 27” RC Storm Sewer, 994 LF PVC 8” PVC Sanitary Sewer, 1202 LF 6″ – 8″ PVC Watermain, 1.0 Acres Permanent Seeding, and 1 L.S. Traffic Control.

Alternate Bid No. 2: 1665 C.Y. Common Excavation, 0.9 Acres Permanent Seeding, and 1 L.S. Traffic Control.

Plan and proposal price is $75.00 nonrefundable.

Plan, proposal and specifications can be examined and obtained from the Brown County Highway Department, 1901 N. Jefferson St., New Ulm, MN. 56073, ph#507-233-5700. A check, draft or money order in the amount listed above, and payable to the Brown County Treasurer must accompany requests for plans and proposals.

A bidder’s bond or a certified check payable to the Treasurer of Brown County in the amount of at least 5% of the total amount bid must be included.

Brown County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
